Studies in Diverse Asian American (AsianAm) Experiences seek to amplify the experiences and voices of individuals and communities that identify as Asian American. Utilizing intersectional and critical lenses, the lab studies a range of issues related to the Asian American experience including, but not limited to:
Equity and Diversity Issues in Higher Education
Colonial and Neocolonial Experiences
Community Conflicts and Collaborations
Intergenerational Trauma
Arts Activism
Studies in AsianAm Experience utilize both an inclusive and differentiated approach: recognizing the sociopolitical power of using the Asian American umbrella but also supporting the need for disaggregated data collection.
Current studies include:
-  Exploration of experiences of Asian American communities outside of the East and West Coasts
-  Challenging the impact of postcolonial trauma stemming from the aftermath of the Spanish-American War
-  Filipina/o/x mental health.
